Jim started his career in 1988 as an apprentice mechanic at Rudd’s Volvo, based in Millbrook, Hampshire. After completing a 4-year long apprenticeship, Jim stayed at Rudd’s until 1996. Rudd’s Volvo gave up the franchise in 1996 to Kings Volvo and Jim stayed on as mechanic working his way up to master technician, and then workshop manager.
In 2001, Jim spotted a gap in the market for a specialist Volvo garage offering the same level of expertise, but at a lower cost to the customer.
Volvotec In Durley, Southampton originally employed 2 mechanics, but quickly outgrew the site. So, in 2006 Jim & Julie purchased Nomansland Garage Ltd in the New Forest. The site now employs 5 expert mechanics all with expertise in the servicing and repair of Volvo cars. Get in touch with us now to find out more.
